DREAMERS: Show Review
This past weekend, we had the pleasure of attending the DREAMERS fall tour at the Middle East in Cambridge. The lineup included IRONTOM, Arrested Youth, and of course, DREAMERS. IRONTOM started out the night and we were blown away. After one song, the three of us attending looked at each other and immediately said, “They have a new fan.” The music was super danceable and the singer, Harry, was so animated on stage. It was definitely attention grabbing for someone who has never seen or heard of them. They actually told us they come back to Boston a lot, so keep an eye out for their next show.
Next up were our good friends in Arrested Youth. Arrested Youth shows are always an incredible time, but it had been about a year since I had seen them so I wasn’t sure what to expect. With a new EP recently released, a new era had begun for the band thus a new way to perform on stage. Not to mention the last time I saw them it was their first tour, so there was a lot of growth in that year that was clearly show up on stage. They even put in a few little skits throughout the set to get a chuckle out of the audience. Their performance this time around definitely showed their growth as a band and reflected the vibe from Sobville (Episode 1).
Finally, it was time for DREAMERS to grace us with their presence. The venue was very packed with fans excited to dance and sing along. The band played their new song "Desensitize" and despite only coming out a couple days before the show, the crowd knew all the words. Despite not knowing much about the band, I was still able to dance along to the set and have an amazing time. And as usual, the compliment of Boston being the best show of the tour was thrown out there by the band.
Overall, this tour package was put together perfectly. All these bands complimented each other incredibly not only with their music, but their performances as well. Not to mention everyone on this tour was so incredibly nice and engaging with their fans that took the time to come out and see them. If you have the chance, check out the rest of this tour. Whether you know all the bands or just one, you’re going to have an amazing time and potentially find a new favorite band.
