Maggie Lindemann: Song Review

What's better on a Wednesday afternoon than a new song review?

New from Maggie Lindemann, featuring Travis Barker, is a remix to her "Friends Go". The original by Maggie had more of a No Doubt meets beach-pop vibe where as the remix thrives in the punk-rock realm thanks to Travis Barker's contributions to this track!

Both are great, but this new version is hard to match! The life brought to the track makes it hard not to move! Before, we could BOP with Maggie but now, we can ROCK!

Maggie's mellow pop vocals contrast the up-beat styling of Barker so well, it helped move the flow of the song forward and keep the audience jammin'! I don't know about you but this remix has turned into the mash-up we all needed for our summer playlists!

What Is Punk?

If you look at the Merriam-Webster definition of punk, you would find a motley of things. At Punk Junk Magazine, we believe in punk as a culture: a badass social interpretation built by those who are bold, electric, and unapologetically themselves. In our eyes, a punk is someone who fights for what they want regardless of obstacles or outside forces; they put their hearts and souls into their passions and make their dreams a reality. Being punk means being yourself, despite social norms and peer-pressure; punk is having a sense of awareness, respect for yourself and others, and an open mind. So to that, we say... why be a dreamer when you can be a PUNK!
