DISRUPT Festival Announcement

Next week, Rockstar Energy Drink's DISRUPT Festival begins it's first tour across the US. Advertising to be a brand new experience for music lovers alike, they promise fans will be able to see every band they want as only one band will be playing at a time avoiding scheduling conflicts. It'll be a day full of interactive experiences including the live bands, but also with lifestyle booths and pop-up experiences for those attending. As every festival, the lineup will vary for each city, but bands like The Used, Sum 41, The Story So Far, Sleeping with Sirens, Andy Black, and many more will be playing many of these cities this summer. Not only is this an outdoor festival, but as the sun begins to set, the performances will move into the amphitheaters for bigger, higher production performances. As Hannah Montana said, "You get the best of both worlds." We're always excited about new artists over here on Punk Junk, but we are very excited for now a new festival to be born and experienced.

Tickets are on sale now and can be found at the ticket link below. Fans who bring an empty 16oz Rockstar Energy drink to recycle at the main gates will not only have the opportunity to skip the line, but will be entered to win an exclusive signed festival guitar and meet & greets with some of the artists. See you guys this summer!

What Is Punk?

If you look at the Merriam-Webster definition of punk, you would find a motley of things. At Punk Junk Magazine, we believe in punk as a culture: a badass social interpretation built by those who are bold, electric, and unapologetically themselves. In our eyes, a punk is someone who fights for what they want regardless of obstacles or outside forces; they put their hearts and souls into their passions and make their dreams a reality. Being punk means being yourself, despite social norms and peer-pressure; punk is having a sense of awareness, respect for yourself and others, and an open mind. So to that, we say... why be a dreamer when you can be a PUNK!
